Arrested Development Coming Back For 4th Season, Then Doing A Movie

Incredible news for fans of comic genius!

At an “Arrested Development” reunion today in New York, the creators and cast shared plans for another season of the TV comedy, which went off the air in 2006 after just three seasons. They also discussed more concrete plans for a much-awaited movie.

The TV season will center around telling the story of where the members of the Bluth Family have been for the past 5 years.  It looks like Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Will Arnett, Ron Howard and company are all returning as part of the original cast.  Hurwitz said, “We’re trying to do a limited-run series into the movie.  We’re basically hoping to do nine or 10 episodes, with almost one character per episode.”

Creator Mitchell Hurwitz said, “We’re all game, we’ve hated being coy, but we’ve been trying to put together this ambitious idea

The TV show will begin shooting, next summer.

Jason Bateman posted this on Twitter today:  “It’s true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early ‘13. VERY excited!”
