Conan O’Brien: Launches Website, Announces “Legally Prohibited” Comedy Tour

Conan O’Brien announced on his Twitter account this morning that he is launching TeamCoco.com where fans can buy tickets to one of 30 shows, kicking off in Eugene, Oregon, on April 12. The tour is called “The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour.” (Note: NBC, in it’s negotiations to buy out O’Brien stipulated that he cannot return to TV until September)

Here is Conan’s tweet from this morning: “Hey Internet: I’m headed to your town on a half-assed comedy & music tour.”

The LA stop on the tour is April 24th at Gibson Ampitheatre.

For tickets, check out TeamCoco.com

Update:  TMZ is reporting that Conan O’Brien isn’t making a single cent off the tour —  Coco is doing the whole thing so he can employ his former “Tonight Show” staff.  We’re told roughly 40 people have been hired to work on the production — many of whom are “Tonight Show” alums.

There is also word that tickets are selling so fast that additional shows are being added to the tour.
