Gary Clark Jr. To Open For Kings Of Leon On U.S. Arena Tour

Vocalist and guitarist extraordinaire Gary Clark Jr. has announced that he will hit the road with Kings of Leon for the first leg of their 2014 U.S. arena tour, which kicks off in Atlanta on February 5th and wraps up March 8th in Chicago. Pre-sales for select dates begin on October 29th, while tickets go on sale to the general public beginning November 1st. Clark has been on the road throughout the fall for a sold-out headlining theater tour, which continues through November 29th. All of his upcoming tour dates are listed below.

Clark is also a featured performer in the Showtime documentary Made In America, directed by Ron Howard and produced byHoward, Grammy Award-winning music icon Jay Z, and Oscar winner Brian Grazer. The film captures Jay Z uniting the biggest names in music – including Clark, D’Angelo, Janelle Monáe, Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Run-D.M.C., and Kanye West – to perform at a star-studded, multi-genre, two-day “Made in America” festival in Philadelphia.

As previously mentioned, Clark once again participated in Eric Clapton’s annual Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013. Clark and band delivered a roof-raising set that garnered a standing ovation at this year’s NYC event at Madison Sq. Garden. Clark continues to dominate  network television.  As of late, he’s appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live(for the second time), The Queen Latifah Show, The Arsenio Hall ShowThe Tonight Show with Jay Leno (his third appearance), and The Late Show With David Letterman (his fourth appearance, this time solo, which airs on November 7th). Clark will be performing “When My Train Pulls In,” the current single from his major-label debut album Blak and Blu. Check local listings for details.
