Internet Buzz: Super Bowl Ad- Will CBS Run Tim Tebow’s Pro-Life Commercial?

There’s buzz across the internet as CBS decides whether to run a pro-life commercial from Focus On The Family and former Heisman Trophy Winner Tim Tebow.

The ad will star Florida Gator’s football star Tebow and his mother, who went against a doctor’s advice and decided to keep Tim despite medical risks. Women’s groups are up in arms about the commercial and want CBS to drop it.  The network was involved in controversy in 2004 when it rejected a Super Bowl ad buy from the “liberal-leaning United Church of Christ highlighting the UCC’s welcoming stance toward gays and others who might feel shunned by more conservative churches.”  That was also the year of the infamous Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake wardrobe malfunction.

With less than two weeks to go, the internet is full of opinions on both sides of the story.  There are Facebook groups calling for CBS to pull the ad and also groups in support of it.

What is your take on the ad?  Is this free speech or should CBS steer clear of something that could be polarizing and take away from the focus of the big game?
