Jay-Z & Eminem At Yankee Stadium: Tickets As High As $13,000
Jay-Z and Eminem are the first artists to perform a concert at the new Yankee Stadium since it opened in 2009. The show is so popular that the best tickets for tonight and tomorrow night’s shows are going for $13,000!
They are performing at the venue as part of the “Home and Home” tour, which Jay-Z, who grew up in the Yankees baseball team’s home turf of New York, called “a dream come true.” The concert follows an earlier show in Detroit, where Eminem grew up.
Tickets for Monday’s concert ranged from $200 for upper deck seats to $13,000 for seats in front of the stage in center field, the New York Daily News said. Tickets for Tuesday’s show ranged from about $150 to almost $7,900, according to Stubhub.com.
Earlier this month, Jay-Z and the Yankees team issued limited-edition baseball caps, T-shirts, sweatshirts and other items that featured both of their logos. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performed the song “Empire State of Mind”, which contains the lyrics “I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can,” at Yankee Stadium at the World Series in October 2009. On Sunday, the two won an MTV Video Music Award for the track, while Eminem took home two moonmen. Eminem also performed at the VMA’s with Rihanna.
