In most other cities, in the US, an hour-long downpour would send fans scurrying for the safety of their homes.  Not in Nashville.  These fans are hard core…

Just minutes after funk rock up-and-comers All Them Witches, entertained the pre-Labor Day Weekend crowd, the rains came.  It poured.  For a long time.  Fans scurried towards the trees and under merch tents and parking garages for cover.  Normally, those same fans would be gone for the evening.  But, on this night, they stuck it out- playing with beach balls in deep puddles and enduring the wait for The Features and Capital Cities.  When those two bands hit the stage, the crowd showed them that they were all in.

Live On The Green is a weekly Thursday night free show, put on in Public Square Park downtown.  This coming weekend will feature a 3-day music festival (Thurs-Sat).  Bands included in the series are Cage The Elephant, Capital Cities, The Head And The Heart, City And Color, Jake Bugg, The Lone Bellow and more!  The festival includes dozens of food trucks, beer gardens and booths from local publications, charitys and organizations.

Nashville-based The Features, stole the show with their no-nonsense vibe and ultra-intense stage presence.  They obviously gained an even bigger local following, despite the fact that their set had to be shortened, because of the delay.  They are a must-see in the Music City scene.

By the time Capital Cities opened their full set, the park was once again completely full and the soaked-to-the-bone concert goers were overflowing with energy.  The dance party was on!  A super vibey and funk driven group of tunes, came pulsating from the still-dripping wet stage and made everyone forget their sloshy drenched shoes.
