Ska Legends Madness To Invade Club Nokia At LA Live
Los Angeles’ CLUB NOKIA has announced a Monday, April 16 performance by British punk/ska band MADNESS. Tickets go on sale today (3/9). The group will also perform at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival April 13 and 20 in Indio, CA.
Madness formed over 30 years ago and are as popular now as they have ever been. In the last five years they released their 9th studio album, The Liberty of Norton Folgate, that established them as one of the UK’s best songwriting bands, winning them a Q Idol award. They re established Madstock, the original festival that caused a real-life earthquake in London as 60,000 people stomped to “One Step Beyond.” They are currently working on their 10th studio album that will be released in 2012 and will see the return of the House of Fun Weekender in November, another of the band’s own festivals. They have also headlined Europe’s biggest and best festivals V, Bestival, Glastonbury, Sonar, Benicassim, Rock n Ring and Rock n Seine. 2012 is shaping up to be the band’s biggest year yet where they will play along side Paul McCartney and Elton John at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. All this as well as being one of the UK’s most successful singles bands with over 22 Top 10 singles
