Supergroup For Haiti: Bono, Edge, Jay-Z And Rihanna To Perform Together For Telethon

There is something about tragedy that brings out the best in the music world.  Although the devastating earthquake(s) in Haiti are something that deeply saddens our hearts, the music industry is responding, in force.

It’s hard not to be ecstatic when you hear that Jay-Z, Rihanna, Bono and the Edge are coming together in London and performing on one stage together!  Friday is shaping up to be quite an event that we pray will raise tens of millions of dollars for Haiti.  The following soundtrack will be a must-have.

I remember how powerful the 9-11 telethon for New York City was in 2001.  Remember this performance from that night (which included Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics and Natalie Imbruglia)?:

Other stars that will perform in the event in New York and L.A are Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira, Sting, Justin Timberlake, Dave Matthews, John Legend and more.

“Hope for Haiti,”  is a global telethon that will air commercial-free across ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on Friday, January 22, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
