U2 To Release New Album In Early 2011
U2’s manager, Paul McGunness has confirmed that the band will release a new album, early in 2011.
“I would expect a new U2 album sooner than anybody thinks. I would guess early 2011
before the next leg of the American tour which starts in May.”
McGuinness said the band has already debuted several of the songs live, including Mercy, Every Breaking Wave, and Boys Fall from the Sky. The new album is rumored to be called, Songs of Ascent.
After a back injury to Bono postponed the North American leg of their tour, the band has responded with amazing live shows, all over Europe. The American dates have been rescheduled and we look forward to seeing them in May of 2011… hopefully, promoting the new album.
