Writers Guild Awards: “The Hurt Locker” And “Up In The Air” Win Oscar Warm-Up

The Hurt Locker won Best Original Screenplay and Up In The Air won Best Adapted Screenplay at The Writers Guild Awards in Los Angeles last night.

Mark Boal is the writer of The Hurt Locker.

Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner are the writers of Up In The Air.

The Writers Guild Awards is known to be a reliable predictor of the Oscars.  Will Locker be the film to spoil James Cameron’s (Avatar) Titanic-type night at the Academy Awards next month?
